SUBJECT:     INSUBORDINATION

Objective                          :           Uphold the right of management to be respected and obeyed, to enable it to pursue achievement of the institutions’ goals in an orderly manner 
 Scope                                :                 All employees of the Corporation 
Responsibility for                        Functional Heads
Implementation               :           Human Resources Division
 
Elements of Policy           :     (i)         The Corporation takes serious exception to insubordination by employees 
                                                            (ii)         Insubordination leads to disciplinary action in instances of serious or  insubordination after legal formalities are completed
                                                           (iii)        The following lapses, inter-alia, are classified as insubordination:
                  • Defamation of the institution, and members of Board of Directors, or Management Committee in public or to outsiders
                  • Refusal to accept and comply with a bonafide directive from his superior
                  • Disregard of Corporation policy or instructions on any subject despite reminder or reference by any employee of the Corporation
