Senior Manager – Production (Grade – IV)

Senior Manager – Production is responsible for in time quality production along with safety of resources and cost management.  The incumbent is required to provide recommendations on process / product design, capabilities assessment, and other capacity related initiatives. In addition, the incumbent must be aimed to identify lead-lag process relationships, machine capacities and efficiencies, can remove bottlenecks, and constraints peculiar to the production facility.
Key Responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:
  • Supervise team to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained and carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of the production strategy to ensure that expectations/targets are met.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of all necessary systems and procedures to ensure that production process operates effectively.
  • Demonstrates ability to envision, energize, engage, and enable a team through role-modeling and execution of production and preventive maintenance plans.
  • Demonstrates ability to develop & coach workers to generate and execute action plans that drive root cause elimination of machine losses and product wastages.
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm, professionalism and ability to resolve conflicts in a constructive manner while responding positively to constructive feedback.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills such as:  directing a group in an organized manner through the resolution of problems, staying calm in emergencies, developing and executing plans, data-based decision making, personal ownership/accountability for the equipment health, and organizing and assigning work during downtime.
  • Demonstrates a self-directing and self-motivating attitude.  Demonstrates a high sense of urgency to initiate impacting changes and new activities to help achieve department goals.
  • Act as a technical and operational resource, who can train, coach, and develop subordinates.
  • Acts as role model safety for the team (seeks to identify and resolve defects, confronts unsafe and reinforces safe behaviors, ensures a culture of feedback throughout the department, proactively work safety issues, committed to an injury free environment).
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders pertaining to deviation and abnormalities that may arise.
  • Leverages the use of integrated work system tools to deliver results, process improvements, education and training, supply network operations and organization performance model.
  • Responsible to collaborate and communicate across various operating departments within and outside the facility.
  • Review, evaluate, approve, and monitor results of special projects designed to improve production processes, enhance quality, and reduce wastages.
  • Commission research in the field of production to ensure that the organization implements policies and approaches that will improve operational effectiveness.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Education:
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree (16 years) in Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechatronics/ Chemical/ Industrial Engineering from reputed university recognized by HEC.
  • In case the degree is obtained from a foreign university, the short-listed candidates shall be required to submit the equivalence certificate from Higher Education Commission (HEC) at the time of interview.
  • Age:
  • Maximum 50 years as on the last date of submission of application to PSPC.
  • Experience:
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience with minimum 3 years of experience in supervisory (middle level) capacity.
